Reducing Waste In Our Environment

Reducing our waste

As part of our topic on the environment, room seven has been thinking about reducing waste like all of the plastic that ends up in our sea. To help with that we decided to make fabric bags and beeswax wrap. We would like it if everyone could use less plastic bags or you could use fabric bags instead.

This is how to make beeswax wrap

1) you grate the beeswax

2) you get two pieces baking paper and one piece of fabric inbetween

3) you spread the bees wax over the fabric then put the baking paper over the top and the bottom

4) you iron the top of the baking paper and let the beeswax melt in to the fabric and make sure there is no gaps

5) finally you let it dry for 30 seconds and then you are done

I really liked making the fabric bags and the beeswax wrap.
