Callaghan's Ridge

On the 11th of April 2019 Rooms 1 and 8, Mrs Truman, Ms Kemp and 9 other
adults walked Callaghan's Ridge and we did a scavenger hunt. Here is some of the
things my group found: a sand fly, a blue mushroom, a tomtit and bracket fungi. When
we started the track it rained for a bit which was annoying. When we got to the lunch
spot we got into our afternoon groups. I was with Lily and Sasha and we built a bivouac
to eat our lunch under.

To make our bivouac we hung the tarp on a leaning tree then tied our rope to four other
trees. After everyone had finished eating we packed up the bivouacs and kept walking.
The track was muddy in a lot of places, it was really slippery.

We had to watch where we stepped so we did not fall over. A lot of people were covered
in mud and some people were throwing mud at each other but overall it was fun. What
I liked about going to Callaghan's Ridge is that we got a day off school doing something
I enjoy.
